Please answer if you know your fashion?

My 18th birthday is coming up, and I bought a pair of booties and a dress. The dress has a leather top and a maxi full length pink pleated skirt. The booties are black, open toed and tie up. Do you think these two will match, or will it almost be like a 50's costume? Help needed pleaseeeeee x
